Overview

In the south of Galicia, where the sea and the rivers mediate an unestablished border, we find some of the best places for birdwatching. The Miño River generates an estuary of the highest ecological value and the Rías Baixas offer a great possibility of food and shelter to different types of birds.
The estuary of the Miño river, A Guarda: an area shared by Galicia and Portugal, is a wetland of exceptional characteristics. On the Galician shore we find a multitude of different habitats that host a large population of birds, especially in migration and during the winter. But there is more: the coastline of A Guarda, open to the Atlantic, is a good balcony to observe seabirds.
The inlet of O Vao, O Grove: This corner of the Rías Baixas is one of the most attractive spots for birdwatching in Galicia. Its mixture of marshes, beaches, coves, steep cliffs and uninhabited islands attract unique species. Not everyone knows that, beyond its touristy beaches, there is a paradise to discover, with thousands of birds of dozens of different species.
During 3 days we will visit different natural enclaves of high value and little known.
